Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions from buyers, sellers and investors we work with.

Working with our team

What areas do you serve?

We serve the entire Metro Vancouver area and British Columbia, including Surrey, Clayton, Cloverdale, North Delta, Langley, Burnaby, Abbotsford and Chilliwack.

Do you handle residential, commercial and business listings?

Yes. Our team covers residential, commercial, presales and business real estate under one roof, so you have a single point of contact across property types.

How do I get started as a buyer or seller?

Fill out the buyer qualification form on our Contact page, or call 778.970.4111. We'll follow up to understand your goals and next steps.

Buying a home in BC

Can I cancel after my offer is accepted in BC?

Most resale home purchases in BC come with a 3-business-day rescission period after the offer is accepted. A buyer who cancels in that window pays a fee of 0.25% of the purchase price. Presales are covered by a separate 7-day rescission right. We'll explain how it applies before you write an offer.

Can I cancel a presale purchase in BC?

Yes, within a limited window. Under BC's Real Estate Development Marketing Act, presale buyers can cancel within 7 days of signing the contract or receiving the developer's disclosure statement, whichever is later. After that, the contract is binding.

Pricing and valuation

How is a property or business priced?

We use current market data, comparable sales and, for businesses, seller-provided financials to arrive at a fair asking price. We're not a lawyer or financial advisor, so we always recommend independent due diligence.

Are the net income and financial figures on listings verified?

Figures shown on business and hotel listings are based on seller-provided information and are not independently verified. We recommend verifying all figures during due diligence.

Confidential and business listings

Why do some listings show a confidential location instead of an address?

Business and hotel listings are often sold confidentially to protect staff, guests and ongoing operations. The exact address and financials are shared with qualified buyers after signing an NDA.

Do I need to sign an NDA to get more details?

For confidential listings, yes. This protects the seller's business while it remains operating and for sale. We'll guide you through the process.
